Stereo installation, now no power locks?

I just finished installing my old head unit and amp. After two days of running the wire and installing everything, I came to the realization that my passenger side power lock wont lock or unlock. I did cut two wires from each side for the speaker because I did not want to fish new wire into the door. I'm certain I cut the speaker wires because the speakers work.

When I lock the drivers side I hear the power lock on that side activating. I can hear a slight click or a beep from the passenger side sounding like its coming from the dashboard.

I also checked the fuse. When I pull the door lock fuse out I hear the clicking from the passenger side again. The fuse is good.


I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?

the clicking is probably the relays inside the door lock timer - needed as they trigger the passenger side for locking/unlocking to mirror the driver's side.

I'm gonna make a guess and suggest you pull off the kick panel and check the connections of all the wires in there. It may be when you pulled out the wires to find & clip for the speakers you disturbed the connection for the door lock.

I'm gonna figure it out tomorrow. The keyhole light on the passenger side doesnt light up either so im thinking a wire got pulled out somehow.

Is that one even supposed to light up?
