Thumbs down Lifters?

I am noticing a bit of a tick coming from the depths but it really isn't a tick it is more of a soft tss tss tss. If it is the lifters should I worry about it is there anything I can do to keep this from getting worse? I heard about that mystery marvel additive or something like that. I used them with sorta success. Any suggestions, pleeeeas. Thanks.

dump a qt of ATF in the engine, drive like mad for about 30 miles, then change the oil. it'll shut them right up.

Mine was ticking on and off after the dragon. I ran a bottle of stp fuel injector cleaner through with no luck - then ran a second bottle through - this time the orange octane boost one - and now the tick has been gone for a week. It was coming from the passenger side valvetrain. I was contemplating marvel mystery oil or atf but I'm too chicken to put atf in the tank. So far so good though.

The wagons are great. I loved tearing around trails with my friends way behind me in their trucks - unable to keep up. Mine would have made you sick. Straight pipe dual exhaust exiting in front of the rear tires on each side. Ram air intake where the spare tire was supposed to go. Hot coil and advanced timing. Top speed 112 - a 20mph gain over stock.

Still looking for a brat with a solid body to build on.

Cool. I got an MSD in mine, and am currently putting an EJ22 Turbo in it with custom low geared tranny. Time to do some serious wheeling.

Alrighty

Thanks again. I will have to try some of those. Maybe I should start with the cleaners and see if that works before trying riskier things like atf in the crank. But all of the options will probably come in handy thanks again.
