I'm a little rusty on my BRAT bearings but I belive there are two bearings in there. The hardest part will probly be getting the bearing retainer off. (the ring on the inside of the arm with the 4 notches in it) it requires a speacial tool but a hammer and a punch will work. It is usually very rusted in there. Once you get that out you can knock out the bearings and races. As for your book it broply shows a Loyal bearing I know thoes are 1 peice.

$1,300! I only paid $950 for my first BRAT and, not that yours is bad but mine was in better shape.

So the books just wrong eh... I'm not planning on taking the stuff out. Just wanted to get this far then let the machine shop do the rest. If I order from advance auto parts think it'll come with both?

Yeah, $1300 and that is with the bearings in the shape they are in now. Oh yeah, you'd have to put it back together of course . How many decent Brats have you seen lately? They are becoming rarer and rarer. I paid $1000 for it 2 years ago after searching for 6 months for a decent one. It needed $600 just to get inspected. Now its got a 90k motor and brand new Subie clutch in it. There was one at the Carlisle Import Show that was in PERFECT shape. They wanted $5k for the beauty. Still had the carpet in the back and it was even in perfect shape! Seats were 100% and it wasn't like it hadn't been driven. It had like 115k on the odo.

Hey, Bob - I just PMed you about a Brat for sale, but your PM box is clogged. Please do Drano in there.

Ron.
