I would have thought the staging area for gathering would have been on of the major hotel parking lots that are close to SIA.

Not sure if this will help, but this was the staging area at the 25th Anniversary Meet. It was in a large parking lot behind the hotel, which in this image is the building to the right, behind the pearl white and yellow SVXs and somewhat obscured by the large tree. We initially gathered in the smaller parking lot behind that hotel and then moved to this larger lot.

I was there for the !0th and had such a good time. Since then though my SVX is gone.. I do enjoy my 2012 STI HATCH!!

Thanks for the memories, Shadowyng. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. Lately I've been thinking of getting rid of the Viper and 3 of the SVXes due to our age. I am 771/2. In early May I'll be 78.
Your photos of the 10th anniv. meet knocked those kind of thoughts from my head. You can be as young as you think you are.

Larry, so are you thinking about making that same trip to Lafayette 20 years later? You have more SVXs for the trip than you had back in 2002.

Seeing how we will both be the same age it may be our last chance. Or just stay home and go to Reading.

Larry, if you go, please bring the Bordeaux '97, so mine won't be the only one there. Oddly enough, whenever you last brought your car to Reading, that was the last time I saw one until mine arrived. I can even see your car in the pict Shadowyng posted that was taken at the restaurant! Also, and far more importantly, I missed the last Reading meet, so it would be great to see you and Rosie again, along with as many as can make it from the 10th and the 25th meets.

I'm hoping to make the trek in my 96 Bordeaux if I can wring it and feel comfortable it will make the long drive.

Well, that'll be a hell of a drive, but I'll certainly look forward to seeing another Bordeaux if you're able to make it. I did the cross-country drive twice in my previous '92 pearlie and it did great. Stopping every 4 hours for gas, etc., and back on the road, and these cars sit so well on long trips. I've got a ton of work to do on my gal before she's ready for the trip, but I'm looking forward to it.

Hey Rick! I too would like to go however given the time commitment just being on the road, there is no way for me to drive from california to Indiana and back. However, I'd be more than happy to fly out and meet everyone.

That is the wonderful part of me recently retiring. No time constraints!

I've made that drive a couple times, just not in an SVX.

I'm motivated as I worked in Lafayette for over 20 years, lurked in the background at the 10th Anniversary meet, and still have a few friends that work at SIA. Not to mention old neighbors would put me up so no hotel costs in Lafayette.

I was still attending the Reading meets for about ten years when I didn't own an SVX and it was always great to get to see the people and the cars; it was my yearly fix, since I almost never see other SVXs on the road. Now that I have two, clearly it's not an issue, but I'm looking forward to this meet and hopefully Reading if that takes place.

I definitely am looking for car stuff to do, and I have enjoyed the Reading meets I've attended, so, maybe. It just feels funny showing up in something other than an SVX.
