Question Sun roof leak

After all the rain that we have recently had in Sydney, I found out that my sun roof must be leaking. I found my seat belt wet and then traced it to a damp roof lining and wet carpet behind the driver's seat. Has anyone had any experience with this and what is the best way to fix it?

Re: Sun roof leak

No probs with my SVX (yet?).

But the Liberty I had (which was around the same age) had an issue with blocked drain pipes that ran down both a-pillars. Maybe our SVXs are the same?

Back when I owned the Liberty I had a lot more spare time so I did the fix myself... and took photos.

Important bits circled in red.

It's most certainly a clogged drain. Locate the drain holes in the sunroof track, and blow them out with compressed air.

Good point!

I should mention that you don't need to go to the same effort I did - I completely dismantled it to service motors and do other work too.

But you should be able to do the drains just with air, or perhaps by feeding in cable/wire if it's something really stubborn.
