Hi again! Four months have passed since my last attempt to become the SVX owner ( http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ghlight=russia ), and now i`m glad to join you!
Im the owner of `94 LSi with 107K miles Interior in very good shape Body requires painting A lot of new OEM parts, but the car stood for a 1.5 year without movement.. 1. A/C compressor doesnt work and there is no hose from compressor to radiator 2. Cruise doesnt work (back drivers side relay`s clicking when pressing cruise button, but nothing happens, even light indicator on button) 3. Left front power window doesnt work (i`ll repair it by myself soon) 4. There are no working airbags and the windshield requires replace after accident 5. ABS warning light comes after 1min run 5. Engine knocks from 2000rpm and higher, here the video after start the cold engine at night: http://e.mail.ru/cgi-bin/getattach?i...hment&channel= The sound makes me feel scared, but i think that is brand subaru knock like 4th cylinder in EJ22, what do you think? The day after tomorrow i`ll change engine oil/oil filter, tranny oil, coolant, spark plugs, crank pulley (i`ve ordered crank pulley from EJ22 - will it fit?) and crankshaft front and rear oil seals but here is the questions bothers me the most: 1. Whats the best now available to buy tranny cooler? 2. Whats the best now available to buy external tranny oil filter? (especially with temperature gauge option) 3. Whats the best oil for 3.3 engine after 100k miles, 10W40? 4. Whats the best oil for stock tranny? I`ll upload good photos soon! Thank you

Whats the best oil for stock tranny?" 1.Any transmission cooler that allows the transmission to attain 150°f, but not go above 199°f. Evan a small but free flowing transmission should be able to do this. 2.I am not personally in favor of an external filter as they can reduce oil flow. 3.In my opinion a 10/30 is a better choise. Our engines have very tight clearances. 4.I do not know what is available to you, but I have the highest regard for BG Products full synthetic!

i would figure out what is making your knocking noise before planning anything else. it could go away when you change the oil or it could be more serious.
