SVX spotted.

I saw a white SVX in Gosford today, but was stuck at traffic lights...

Re: SVX spotted.

Some repairs done, some still waiting. They put new engine mounts in, replaced the spark plugs with platinum ones, new brake rotors all round, 2 new tyres, mucked with the ABS because the light kept coming on randomly. Then, a power steering hose burst, and he had a holiday on a tow truck.

It still has the bad idle after a few minutes from cold, but that did stop for a month or so, now it is back. Air con keeps cutting out (still blows, but gets all humid). they are going to have to wait a little while now.

Mind you, I do have my priorities right ... It now has some damn fine 5% tint

Re: SVX spotted.

If the aircon is cutting out and the engine idle is playing up my guess is the temp sender that goes to the ECU is stuffed and being feed garbage. What is happening is the ECU is seeing a hot engine even a boiling engine so then it shuts the AC to help cool the motor. There are 2 temp senders the oval one goes to the ECU the round to the dash. So as far as you can see the engine is running perfectly cool because your sender is okay. The one on the ECU says the engine is boiling so it adjust fuel and AC on that bases.

I have had a few senders die.
Have a great day.
