Antilock Brake Warning light when car loaded

I have noticed that when I have 3 people in the car, I get the antilock brake warning light coming up and when stopping, right at the end before the car fully stops, I can feel my brakes behaving strangely, sometimes there is a noise and I can feel my brake pedal pumping as if the anitilock was being activated.

When I drive the car alone the brakes behave normally and not warning light is present. Has anyone experienced this and what can i expect to happen next with the brakes?

If the ABS light comes on, then it should set a code in the ABS control module.

I would pull the codes from the ABS unit (I believe it is located under the passenger seat) to see what is happening. If I remember correctly, there is an LED on the ABS unit that flashes the fault codes.

My guess would be an erratic signal from one of the wheel speed sensors causing the ABS unit to detect a fault in that sensor. The codes should tell you which sensor is faulty.

I agree with Jason pull the code.
Couple of questions have you had any axles fixed lately, check the front and rear axle nuts some times they come lose and the hub moves away from the sensor. My guess is the back one.
