Don't Order From Steeringrack.com

I ordered a rack and pinion for my SVX online from www.steeringrack.com, but their site said NOTHING about shipping times. I called them the next day. After about 15 phone calls, dealing with instant hang-ups, voice mail messages and busy signals, I was finally able to get through to an incoherent, babbling buffoon of a woman.

I asked them how long it would be before I received my rack and pinion. They told me they didn't even have it in stock. I asked why it was listed on their website and why they charged me for a part they didn't even have. The stupid woman simply said "I don't know".

That very same phone call I asked for a refund of the $485 they charged me for the imaginary part. This was a week ago. The refund never came through.

After getting the run-around I was forced to open a dispute with my bank.

Don't order from these jokers.

That's not even a real website.

Re: Don't Order From Steeringrack.com

It was- that's a Network Solutions park page, and the domain was registered clear back in 2003 and good until the end of June this year. I'm hoping they are redesigning the site as opposed to packed up the shop and ran .

Re: Don't Order From Steeringrack.com

Quick run through Google turned up these:

http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum...ad.php?t=27942

http://www.trackpedia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2260

http://www.resellerratings.com/store/JagGraveyard

and it appears that their other site (JagAmerica.com) referenced in that last link is also in the same state as SteeringRack.com. Seems nobody has had a great deal of luck with them or their products. Sorry man.

Re: Don't Order From Steeringrack.com

I swear it was up earlier today. Fortunately I paid with a credit card and have opened a dispute with the bank. I'm sure getting my money back won't be an issue.

Re: Don't Order From Steeringrack.com

Here is a site I recommend for a rebuilt rack:

http://www.jorgenauto.com/rack-pinio...ru.html#SUBARU

Price may be in need of update.
