This is an interesting one...

http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automo...=true&AdOnTop=

Is the colour odd for this year? Looks like a solid/bright red (to my eyes) but two tone. I thought the two tones only had burgundy as the red?

Also, no rear spoiler optioned? That doesn't sound right either...didn't think you could option int. So is the boot a jap import replacement?

KM are nice and low though, and it looks pretty tidy.

Pity about the price.

Re: This is an interesting one...

Yeah Im sure it's a nice show car but $15,000 for a car with nearly 50,000 miles is a bit steep for the svx.

Keep in mind that this is in Australia. They are just a wee bit more rare down there and the price reflects this The same SVX that might sell for $2-3k here will sell for around $6k there. At least thats what i've noticed from talking to a couple people down under.

Re: This is an interesting one...

I wonder if the price is in AU or US? What's the exchange rate anyway? If I ever sell an svx it'll be reflecting the AU price, lol.

It's pretty close right now to be honest. The higher price is only because they are rarer down there, not due to the exchange rate... Sorry if I made that unclear.

No, not unclear at all. I made mine unclear. What I meant to say was that if I sell an svx here in the states, I'm going to price it for what it would sell for in AU and then if the prospect is curious of the high price, I'll explain that they go for that price in AU.

Re: This is an interesting one...

Nice find.. I paid $15K (NZD) for mine in Nov last year 41K on the clock. Totally SVX's are pretty rare downunder at the best of times, even rarer to find one in good condition. There's a few listed on Trademe.co.nz from $1000 to $3,500 but all have high mileage and average to poor condition.

Re: This is an interesting one...

That does appear to be the standard Ruby Mica colour (code 947). Due to that colour being metallic, it can appear to be a very bright red in direct sunlight, but a darker burgundy colour when the light is not hitting it directly.

Have a look at these photos, and you will see what I mean.....

I am fairly sure that the Australian delivered SVX did not have the option of removing the rear spoiler - you could always remove it yourself, but how would you plug the holes that resulted?

One other thing - why is the front grille and the centre section of the lower bumper painted black?

Jason.

It's not painted black.. if you look closely (or turn the brightness up on our monitor) you'll see it'd just shadow. That said, the upper section of the waterfall grill is black as standard.
Oops, my bad.. I thought you were talking about the images above.... Agree totally the black-out treatments doesn't work for me either... maybe he did it to hide the moisture build-up in the grill and got carried away... <lol>
