$$$cha-ching$$$

Well, sometimes and accident can be a good thing, I guess. The insurance deemed my car(total) in excellent condition and cut me a check for $7100 less $700 for me keeping the rolling wreck. Net $6400 less $3600 for the Teal 92 LS-L touring I found in very good condition, leaves $2800. After paint, brakes, alarm and tinted windows, I will still have cash in my pocket. I will also have a car in better shape than mine was and a parts car with an almost new tranny as well as almost everything else including an extra grey leather interior in excellent condition. Seems to be working out quite well.

parts/plans

I will definately(at least for now) keep the motor, tranny and wheels/tires. As for the rest of it , if someone needs something, it never hurts to ask.

The teal car will become safety yellow. I am pondering making everything below the top of the bumpers black. My Focal rims should look real nice on it with the yellow accents. I am going to order the Raceconcepts discs and pads and some lowering springs. I am going to leave the exhaust stock, except for the tips. There is no chrome left on them or I would leave them. I haven't noticed any power gain with the 2 custom systems I have tried. I will put my Level 10 valvebody as well as the ZEX 75 shot. Plus all the other little goodies from my black one. Between prepping the body for paint and swapping all those parts, it will take me quite a while to get this done, but it will be worth it. This teal car is definately quicker off the line than my black one, too. The black one hesitates. The best part about this scenario is that even if I blow my tranny tommorrow, I already have a good one ready to go for only the cost of installation.

power steering pump assembly

If your was a electronic speed variable system, which I believe the LS-L's were (it's the higher end steering), I'd love the p/s pump assembly, if it's not leaking.

Great that things worked out so well on the insurance!

Hi!
I was wondering if you were willing to sell your ECU chip from underneath the driver's side dash?
Thanks,
Marisa

exhaust tips

Stephen, take a close look at the tips. They are stainless steel and will clean up nicely.
