SVX Socketed TCU

I have a socketed TCU ready for one of LAN's custom shift maps. I had planned on using it myself but my motor/something developed a pretty serious vibration and I have thrown too much money at the car lately. So it's time to switch cars for a while....

Asking $150 shipped to all lower 48 states. Most likely Canada as well once I check your shipping code.

Here you can see that the cleaner/safer method of chipping was done. Instead of removing the required chip and potentially damaging the board, the resistor was moved to bypass the old chip.

This is a picture of the ZIF ( zero insertion force ) socket that has been affixed to the board.

This TCU is ready to be installed after the purchase of a chip from LAN.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: SVX Socketed TCU

I think the issue here is that a buyer will have to purchase the IC from LAN ($49+ shipping), which puts the buyer right back at the price point LAN is selling a complete ECU with chip for, without any warranty protection if the TCU is defective.

Re: SVX Socketed TCU

I would fix/replace it as well and LAN's TCU's are $249 plus shipping. He had a 5 TCU sale which is over. It is also open to offers. Not looking to make these and sell them just get rid of the one I have since I will be dumping my SVX

Re: SVX Socketed TCU

ECUTune website is still advertising a $199 + shipping introductory price. I believe the "sale" LAN had was $199 with free shipping.

Re: SVX Socketed TCU

Ya, you are correct. I went and read it. However after those 5 its $249 like they are on eBay right now.

Really don't want to rant back and forth with you so please, if you have nothing to say about buying it... Don't post
