6'4", 240 lbs, lots of room in my (2) Outbacks, (3) legacys and (1)SVX . My other brother is 6'2" and 350 lbs and has (2) Imprezas.

Be sure that he just doesn't want the ENGINE for an AIRPLANE! You can't be too careful when you 'adopt out' your children!

No... he wants the engine for his Vanagon... seriously! I don't really care much about what happens with this car (my '95 LSi) It's an OK car for someone else, but I'm not really attached to it for some reason.

Now on the other hand, my '92 liquid silver one-owner LS-L is a keeper (just needs a tranny!).

Wow, you guys well over six feet must sit hunched-over, because I'm barely 6 ft. and touch the headliner with the top of my head if I sit-up perfectly straight. Guess the seat will travel lower than I realize. Whatever; one thing I love is the roominess of the cabin, and my aging knees appreciate that I can pretty much straighten my legs. (Back seat passenger: "Can you pull your seat up a little bit?" Me: No.) But now I'm spoiled. When I ride in a friend's Impreza or even Legacy, they seem small.

In my SUV, i sit up strait, in my SVX, i lounge... Sure if i raised the seat height, put the seat in the upright position so i was sitting up strait, my head would touch the headliner. However, i have it lowered as far as it will go, and reclined to the point that my seat nearly touches the back seat when in position. The fact taht the seat is 8 direction power seats, as well as a telescoping and height adjustable steering wheel makes the SVX a very versitile car, that can comfortably seat just about anyone.

+ = not comfortable.

It really does come down to his seating preference - if he wants to buy the car he should take it for a couple drives and see if he can adjust the seating position to his liking.

We all have different preferences in how we like to sit while driving.

I'm almost 6'3" and when just commuting/cruising around town I like to have the seat leaned back a bit. If I'm out on a "spirited drive" with lots of curves and whatnot, I like to be a bit more forward and upright, closer to the steering wheel and windsheild. I never feel cramped in either position, but could see someone a bit taller getting pretty close to the roof in the upright position. The solution to this would be to get a model w/o the sunroof, you gain an inch or two (nordique had to do this as he is almost 7').

Even in "lounging" position, I still don't have the seat all the way back, I don't have my legs straight, rather I have the back of the seat bottom all the way down and the front nearly all the way up, so I'm kind of sitting in a "V" I guess. Not quite that extreme, but it is comfortable. TMI

I'm 6'4", 210lbs. The seat could go back a little further for my tastes (I need to find a screw, oops , I mean that screw) however, I find that the telescoping steering wheel does not go out far enough for my taste. I'd like it to extend another inch and a half.

(OK, I just realized that I set myself up for some serious jokes with that comment)

There was a commercial for Oprah a couple weeks back that teased the next episode they were going to say how losing weight would give you 2 more inches or something like that. I missed the episode though.

6'2"... I sit with the seatback "two clicks" leaned back, and I don't have the seat bottom all the way back. It's a straight-arm driving setup, but that's just for me.

My helmet definitely hits the roof. It's definitely a drag.

Sunroof

The models without sunroofs have an inch or so more head room.

Hi,
Newbie here.
I'm also a new owner of a 92 one owner. It has 82,200 mi on it. Can you please tell me if there was only one car called Liquid SV? Mine is SV, with a bLK trunk lid and Blk plastic rear side panels. Is that the Liquid SV.
Are we talking about the same color.

Thanks,
Steve
