You could drive the SVX with one nearly flat and not notice the steering pulling. So you might have drag on your tyres, be wearing them badly through mis-alignment, and not see much difference to drive.

Play it by the book is my rule.

I guess my concern, Joe, is having some stranger fondling the nether regions of my car with his big tool & finding a way to tell me that I need to replace a bunch'a tie rods & axels just to conform to "the book", when no negatory symptoms seem to exist in the first place. Hell, I wouldn't have high blood pressure if I hadn't gone to a doc 10 years ago & had it checked. Now I'm a captive to all the expensive medications he can get me to swallow. We can't even drop dead in peace anymore.

Ron (ranting).

I assume that you're reading the MAX tire pressure warning on the tire itself and not what it says in the manual or on the door plate. The recommended pressure is 33f/29r, but I noticed excessive shoulder wear with the original tires, so I started to fill it up to 36 all around. I also have to rotate the tires a lot less this way. 44 is very high if you're filling it cold, and even if you're not.

Good call, I knew it seemed a little high. I guess I gotta crack out the tire pressure guage and see what we can do here.
