Painting Center Piece

Whats the best paint to use if you are going to paint the center mock light on the grille? Is there any special paint to use? I know svxfiles has done this but I don't know what paint he has used. Thanks.

Nick i suggest u go for the same color as the body of ur car. It will blend in alot better that way.

Do you know where I can get that kind of paint?

If you take the car to a body shop they should paint it for u for 70 bucks or so. PM the guy from the other thread....he should know where to get the paint. I would imagine any hardware store would have it.

Nick, glad you have an SVX, but every single one of your topics has already been discussed quite a bit. Please use the search button. If we can get more info into existing threads, the easier it will be for everyone to find them and use them effectively.

but yeah... searching is KEY... saved me from dozens of pointless posts... if you search and find a thread thats close to what you're asking... and its not already 5 pages long.. just post in that one, and then all the info is in the same place, like Justice said...

while after reading the previous posts I almost feel guilty posting this now, I figure the thread is already here.


I went to o'reilly autoparts and had my paint matched and mixed for like 60 bucks, and then the guy that mixed it said that he was usually bored all day and just sat around painting things for fun, and I could leave the grill and he'd do it for free, and I've got about a pint of paint at home still.....

Actually that's not quite true Drive,
I mentioned that there was a post on the Yahoo site, stating that Small Car had said the grill was still in the works
(although nick was the first to say he spoke to them and it would be ready in Jan)
