Riced out SVX on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=31871

"1994 JDM ENGINE (WHY?)...
Custom made racing axles...
STI JDM emblem installed on trunk lid (WHY?)...
The Emergency brake was removed for weight purposes...
Insulation, and sound deadening material was also removed from around the rear seats and undercarpeting...
Miscelaneous decals were installed such as HKS, NOS Inside, BOOST INSIDE...
The windsheild is foggy, not a hard fix especially if you just slap a banner on it...
Mass Air Flow sensor was stolen along with the HKS Filter from under the hood(HOW?!)...
The racing rims are not included, the stock SVX rims are, with new Eagle tires (I think they are GSAs and I think they are 245 wide, they are super wide tires and grippy). (And BTW, they're not going to fit )"

But still why a JDM engine? Although the JDMs have a slightly less restrictive engine (which still makes 230hp), they also have a slightly different transmission (which probably explains why the transmission needed to be replaced as well)

?

i highly doubt he has a JDM engine. the reason is why? you can get one here in the states. imagine how much shipping would be from Japan for the heavy engine! the only difference in the engines are the emmisions control, nothing else. as for the tranny, there is no difference in the JDM or US model, both 4EAT's.

Agreed, he is probably lying about the JDM Engine (since his main selling points involve listing the price he paid for the stereo equipment). The JDM transmission is still a 4EAT, but it is different. It has a different power split, different ratio, and does not use a LSD. Here is one thread discussing the differences

What I don't quite understand is he says, "The Emergency brake was removed (all hardware is included that was removed) for weight purposes. The insulation, and sound deadening material was also removed from around the rear seats and undercarpeting."

Yet he put in Extreme Dynamat(probably since there was too much noise), a sub, amp, PSone, and a screen which all = more weight.

Now as for the "Mass Air Flow sensor was stolen along with the HKS Filter from under the hood." I think he means they were put into his other car. Just like those white gauges.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.
