Upsetting SVX Night

Last night it was pouring rain, and in the rain i was going home from looking at this NSX I might buy, this car in front of me clipped a piece of wood about 1/4 of a 2x4 and it flew up broke into pieces, it broke my windshield, fake middle light, both headlights no longer function and have huge cracks all over them, and I just got the SVX repainted, so now it has a huge smudge/dent on the hood where the largest piece of wood hit the hood.......Im rather unhappy about it. But I dont think there is much I can do, other then call my insurance company...but driving a SVX w/o a front windshield in the rain really sucked....

You shouldn't have a problem getting that fixed. Sorry to hear of the accident.

Hard to believe a small board would do that much damage. Now if you said someone attacked your car with a baseball bat the damage sounds believable

Yeah, it looks like it was attacked, but 2x4s at 85mph lead to damage like that....my window was already cracked like from side to side so the board was the killer...

I put a band-aid on my suby...and its gonna be in the garage all weekend...lol...i dont even feel like driving it now..

I hate it when people travel on the highway with vehicles that spread debris. I clipped a 5-gallon bucket a few weeks ago and it ripped off my fender well. Luckily Subafreak had a backup for me. Hopefully you can get insurance to cover it!

When I bought the car and drove it over from denver, a giant metal trashcan flew out of a truck, and the Audi A4 and me that were behind the truck ended up rallying it up through the median to avoid serious damage....it seems my car attracts debris..

Sorry to hear about that. I checked on getting the front glass about 6 months ago...


I hope your insurance will cover it becasue you're looking at some where between 1000 and 1500 for the front glass. (unless you know someone.... and I don't)


maybe Michele has some front end parts for you...
