HID kits on EBAY

They're cheap. I know nothing about headlights. Are these junk? Hard to install? My headlights are dim and the lenses are fogged. What's the quickest and most cost efficient way to take care of this. There are a ton of threads related to this but they're convoluted to say the least. I wish there was just a straight forward headlight thread.
Thanks!!!

Re: HID kits on EBAY

apparently there are DDM(sp?) ones that people have been talking about that are cheap.
There's a vendor with the local suby club that has a good price for them i got a set for my brother's car/2 for mine and for a few friends for 60 each

I believe he's still doing his HID kits. His are far and away the best deal for quality for the SVX. They're available in 4300k, 5000k, 6000k, and I think 8000K or 12000k...

Buy from either Old Tom (svxfiles) or DDM Tuning. Don't buy HID kits from EBay, you never know what you're going to get.

Re: HID kits on EBAY

Thank you,
Gentlemen for your support.
The LavaLux HID kits that were available to me, are/were of VERY high quality and at the time, in my humble opinion, a great value.
However as time marches forward, things change.
Now you can buy HID kits for as low as $36.00, but as previously been stated, quality is not certain.
I have bought many HID light kits.
I currently have six(?) SVXi and trucks, of my own, insured and plated, plus two for my sons, and Diana's SVX, and all but the 83 F150 have HIDs.

I really believe that HIDs are the way to go.
If/when I find a company that can supply for us a reasonable HID, I will post about it.
More on this later.

Thanks Tom. It is good if you can find another brand that is quality and we know what we are getting.

Re: HID kits on EBAY

You should buy a micromesh kit. Much better than he 3m products. You can get them on eBay. Also, buy some plastic polish and buff them out as the final step. Helps if you have a puffing wheel, but a drill attachment would suffice.

Thanks for the recommendation. My buddy has a buffer we're going to use.
