A cool find on Ebay.. a collector piece?

I haven't seen one of these in years. This is one of the original tires that came on the SVX. Might be cool to mount it up on a stock wheel and have it hanging around. If I recall the RE 95 came on the touring cars. Looks like it was born in 1994.

the tread pattern looks the same as the ones my parents had on their 85 lesaber and fleetwood

Reminds me of the spare in my silver SVX. That thing had never been out of the trunk when I bought the car.

Heh... I had these on my first SVX (my 95). In truth they really weren't terribly good tires. They were expensive, and as they wore down got AWFULLY noisy. I'm kinda glad tire tech has moved on a bit since then... the wet traction was also atrocious.

Thankfully they didn't last long as I had a puncture at speed in one of the tires about 3 months after I got my 95... replaced them with some Goodyears that were terrible... which I then replaced a bit later still with Firestone Firehawk SZ-50's. Those weren't great tires either, but were far superior to the RE95's

Look like REs are a traditional Bridgestone thing then... RE92s are hideously expensive and quite mediocre. When one of my co-workers bought a brand new '07 Legacy he traded in the RE92's for a set of Michelin Hydroedge tires and a set of winter steel rims, and got a little cash on top of that.
