Why b/c they build a great car at an affordable price and have been turning around that horrible image of the Excel from 20 years ago. They simply followed the Japanese model nearly perfect.
What suprises me though is they (just like the Japanese) can build cars cheaper here then they can at home.

Meanwhile, GM continues to pitch it $50,000+ Cadillac "hybrid" SUV, Chrysler seemingly advertises nothing but Hemi-powered pickups, and they whine that labor unions and the sour economy have driven them to the brink.
