Thumbs up Re: HID Conversion

I just got these from a company that's just starting to sell on Ebay.

These are high quality items in great packaging.

Their customer service is outstanding, and their price is very reasonable.

No, I'm not connected with them in any way, I'm just extremely pleased with their product.

Their first feedback was from me. I got the 4300K - they also have 6000K

The link I just posted was for 9005 bulbs, but you want to get the 9006 bulbs for the low beam.

Here's the link for them.

You can "view seller's other items" to select the color temp. you want.

Re: HID Conversion

If the light system you purchase is DOT then its DOT. If the projectors are DOT then they are DOT. Putting them together doesn't make non DOT conforming parts. Most light laws aren't HID based but simply color brilliance based and they don't differentiate between HID factory and non factory. I know of laws that ban above certain Kelvin ratings and laws about "distracting lights" but projected HID in our car looks no different then many newer cars except that our lenses are much older.

In the end though, how many officers could look into headlight and tell you that you don't have the right equipment to be running HID's honestly. If a person doesn't like them, that's fine, but to not use them because you fear the nations one cop who knows how to identify DOT lightbulbs is bit much.

On another note, is no one running anything above 6000K? We put some 12000K in my friends STI and they are awesome. They provide about the same lumens as 5000K but are hyper blue. I loved them. (lumens is how much light is seen by the eye, don't give me any crap about them being way too bright for oncoming traffic because 6000K has the highest lumens of any bulb on the market. above that you start to lose visible light again. that means that they aren't brighter to eye.)
