Why I hate working on cars that have been sitting
Helped a buddy swap a knuckle from a parts car to his daily driver, and these guys were hiding in the brakes:
  I'm not a spider expert, but I know I didn't want to mess with either of them! (And I was glad my wife wasn't there, I don't know what she would have done since she freaks out over a little tiny spider at the house...)

Common house spiders. Tegenaria gigantea I believe if you want to get specific, lol. I hate them.
Dont know if its true but Wikipedia says... With speeds clocked at 1.73 ft/s (0.53 m/s), the giant house spider held the Guinness Book of World Records for top spider speed until 1987. Thats just disturbing, lol. As they are mainly Northwest spiders... and we are in the Northwest. Just yuck, lol.

We have ways of dealing with spiders around these parts.
 Make sure you set the flame to 10+ft, to ensure not having to get close to said spider, then let her rip. Allow flame to remain ignited for 10-15min to ensure proper death of spider. When in doubt, repeat. Even if your pretty sure you got him, repeat anyways. Doesn't hurt to be safe.

 I have been known to scream so loud when seeing a spider, that I actually made a spider commit suicide.

I have one living in the bumper of my every-other-day driven XT.
I'll come out in the morning and there will be a web on the corner of the bumper, extending to the fender. I am leaving him alone. I want to see if he makes it to the dragon, lol.
