Tiny O ring in alarm remote?
Does anyone have a picture of what the inside of the stock alarm remote looks like?
I opened mine up to replace the battery and there was an O ring that came out. Now I don't know where it is supposed to go! Anyone out there that can help? Eric

If it makes you feel any better, the same thing happened to me. I never could figure out where it came from.
My "new" SVX remote that I bought a couple years ago didn't have it. So who knows? It does work fine without it.

i believe it goes around the actual microswitch. IMHO, it seems to click better without it.

Well, in the course of replacing the battery (had it open at my desk) somehow the O ring went missing.
Doesn't seem to matter now because I can't get the switch to work at the moment. I'll have to look at it in more detail this weekend. Geeze I hate electical stuff. I miss the good old days of mechanical points, real gas, and no complicated electronics sometimes! Eric

But those things make life easier. The SVX's auto-sensing all wheel drive, automatic climate control, and countless other features are some of the key items I really like about the SVX.
