Changing A/C compressor, noticed this oil puddle...
Anyone can tell me where the source this oil leak might be on top of the valley area? I noticed this when the A/C compressor was removed. Could this leak be from the camshaft seals? On the other side of the block, the leak doesn't seem to be as noticeable. Defintely not any puddles that I can see.
Thanks. Ali '92 pics are attached.

I am not sure where it is coming from, but I would clean it and then watch for more oil. If it shows up, then you might be able to tell where it is coming from. If it stays clean, then it really isn't a big deal. Maybe someone else knows where it is from.

I was thinking possibly the PCV due to the hose end splitting perhaps. I wonder if changing the PCV is any easier now, prolly not. Doesn't seem like it at a quick glance anyway.

Yeah, it's on the top of the engine so camshaft is out (at least from that position). I was going to say maybe some sort of oil leak around the intake (but, why would you find oil there?). PCV seems likely as well. I often find that oil just finds its way into places where you would never expect it. I'm thinking you've never powerwashed your engine before (if you do this, be careful); hence that oil staining.

Oil leak....
I would agree the camshaft's not be considered, pvc is a possibility. Also check the back of the power steering pump/res area.P.S. pump's are a common issue with these. And if it is the P.S. pump, and you have electronic assisted steering,it is around $350 if I remember correctly from the dealer. But I bought all the pump seals for a whopping $15,and rebuilt it,about 8k ago,and it is holding up very well...

I took a closer look at the area last night and saw that oil moisture was evident in the area under the PCV valve. I also saw a nick/cut of somesort on the PCV hose. I followed this hose to the air intake, toward the rear of the engine and saw oil moisture where this hose comes in contact with the air intake.
I'll remove the PCV valve today and inspect the hose. With the A/C compressor out of the way, the PCV may be a tad easier to manipulate out of there. Although, I need to purchase a crow foot that's the right size. Anyone happen to have the size of the crow foot handy? Ali

19mm however I've had better luck with a bent box end wrench (aka PCV tool)and a pair of vicegrips.
