Unhappy Got my second SVX but not so happy......

I can't believe I've got my second SVX but not so happy because it's alot of bugs to fix. I thought I told myself if I get a second one it'd be a '97. I guess I bought her because of the new paint job(great color) . And he said the tranny was rebuilt not too long ago and the timing belt, water pump have been replaced. It's a 92LS-L with 139K+.

Why am I not so happy with that? Because I thought it was a decent deal but as the three new major problems happen.....I'm not so sure and it's going to cost me time and money to fix her up.

Three major problems have to be taken care of soon:
1. It leaks gas somewhere from the fuel pump module unit.
2. It leaks brake fluid somewhere from the passenger back seat.
3. It leaks p/s fluid......I hope it's a 0-ring or hose loose.

These three problems were beyond my knowledge from the seller.

Alot of little bugs that some that seller didn't mention but some he mentioned.
1. grinding noise when moving...
2. hard shifting with a big chunk from big accel.....(I really hope it's bad connection at the resistor)
3. muffler is hissing...
4. sun visors sagging...
5. no antenna...
6. 16 blinks powerlight code that he didn't tell me...
7. alot of little light bulbs burned out...
8. need speakers
9. rust
10. and etc.

I now just understand not all SVXes are the same. My first SVX(teal) LS-L is one of the best I have driven/ridden. It's about 68K+ now. The first one rides/shifts so smooth and quiet. It's so comfortable. The second one shifts hard/not quiet(b/c of the problems so far) and rides harder and not really comfortable. I don't know why....isn't it because of the 4 T-rated good year tires he put on the car?? He said the front struts have been replaced not too long ago. I still don't know why my first 92 rides so much better than the second 92? Isn't it the double-mileage of it causes the difference? And, I would say the paint job was not really fine....

Well, I will try my best and take time to fix her up.....if I do sell one of them, the second one is the first to go....

PS: 600th post for my second svx.
PSS: nice new upgraded new interface

Sorry to hear you have problems with it. At least you have a good one to drive as you fix it up. Look at it as a project of love. Hopfully it does not have major problems and can be fixed. The last ones you mention are not all that much to do. Good luck with it.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother fixing it up. I'd use it for parts instead. If you really want to, more power to you. But it sounds like it has more problems than are worth fixing.

Thanks, Earl. Or do you want to buy a yellow one for your project of love?

I do hope it won't cost too much to fix her up and I can take times...

In my opinions, she's beautiful. Yellow svx with black roof. Wonder why I got
the brown tinted windows too for a 92? I might put up some pictures later...

Worth fixing it or not, I'm not sure. From the point of SVX love, I can take times with reasonble amt of investment. From the point of value, if it costs way too much to fix than what I paid for, I might be stupid.

Anyway, I will try to make a best decision within my ability. I am in contacts with chike and svxfile....hopefully, I will get the good ways to fix her up.

It was not a pleasant purchase that those problems were not disclosed by
him....
