The color is original from Subaru. I don't know if it was an option but I guess not. They just tried their best at the end of the production to call atention. Mine is from July 1997 and therefore very close to the end... As far as I know there are a lot of yellows both in Germany and Switzerland. You can see one at Kusi's website: http://www.subarusvx.ch.vu/ Also at the German SVX Club meet photos gallery: http://www.svx-club.de/Unsere_Treffe...ffen_2001.html Mine is amongst one of those yellows... Hi Tone, you are very lucky, I wish I have one too. When I realized I want SVX I wanted it in yellow (even thought to paint my Burgundy to yellow one). There is no way (or too complicated)to import car over 6 yrs old here.
One can no have everything...:-) Peter |

If someone said to me walk a kilometre, I'd have no idea how far to go but I could probably walk a mile down to the nearest few yards.

Joe....now I have tested the "manual" button,
on my way to my work this morning. And, I have stated this before, and I'm saying it again: My SVX AT does NOT behave like the Legacy AT, and the Leagcy AT behaves EXACTLY as you describe that your SVX AT does...!! In the SVX, I DO HAVE kickdown capability when in "Manual" and 3:rd selected. The only difference between "Econ" and "Manual" is that in the "Manual" mode, the 1:st is canceled out. Also, on the Legacy AT. I dont have any "kickdown" switch near the "end" of the pedal stroke. In my SVX , the "kickdown" switch really feels as if the pedal has bottomed out, but a harder press would engage it. With "Manual" mode, and selector in 3:rd or "D" it won't kick to a lower gear, unless I engage the "kickdown" switch! I have found that the "Manual" mode is better to use than the "Econ" mode, in highway driving. (I lack words to describe this in a better way, hopefully understandable anyway ) /Sonny
