Fame but no fortune

Look at the latest Autocar (Jan20) page 23, by John Coates entitled 'Insider Dealing' all about the wisdom of buying an dream car - I quote:

Not so long ago, a normally level-headed pal went off to buy a Mazda MX-5 for about £9k - he did all the homework, set off for the dealer and came home with a 96N Subaru SVX. I nearlt choked because these extremely rare, vastly underrated cuopes are resale nightmare. Did he care? Did he hell! He was intoxicated by the looks, performance and exclusivity of the thing.
He still is, and has yet to spend a bean on it'

Who's a lucky chap, then?

There's also a pic of a silver/black winged wonder.

Cool

Thanks for the pointer Messenger, I'll go down the shops and get that one.

I can read it next time I spend big money on maintenance [tyres and brakes coming up!!], and smile and justify to myself.
