speedware motorsports tech session 5/31/03
Speedware Motorsports is having a tech session Saturday 5/31/03 from 10am to 2pm. it's for the RSX Club, but owners of other nameplates are welcome according to the website notice:
http://www.speedwaremotorsports.com/events/ Andrew @ Speedware says: "Thanks for your e-mail. Your club members would be welcome to come join us for our tech session in May; most of the information will not be directly pertinent to your members, as we haven't done much work with the SVX. However, alignments would be beneficial for your members, and that may be of interest to them. Also, we will cover safety gear, so if any of your members want to go to the track or want to autocross, they might like to hear about that. We are pushing to get a full house from all our Acura/Honda customers: How many SVX people might like to come? Best Regards, Andrew Morrison Speedware Motorsports 7509 159th Place NE Redmond, WA 98052 425/869/5680 (p) 425/882/0799 (f)" Let me know if there's any interest, I'll be happy to reply to Andrew.. |

Hmmmm It might be interesting if a bunch of SVXes showed up with all the ricers there. A good showing might also motivate this shop to produce some stuff for the SVX, especially if they could make parts that can be shipped nationwide.
As for myself, the subject matter of the sessions would not much interest me, the only thing applying to us racing clothing and alignments. Guess I would be going mostly to represent the SVX.

I might show up, just for the fun of an unofficial SVX meet.
BTW, just had a 4wheel allignment on my SVX and if your curious, the local shop in Richmond BC does 4 wheel alignments for all the ricers/autocrossers/SIR/trackers in the Vancouver area. The company is called: Advanced Automotive Unit#314 - 5930 #6 Road Richmond, British Columbia Canada, V6V-1Z1 604-278-1803 They have one of the most advanced(no pun indended) Alignment Racks available. I have spoken to Johnny(Owner) and he has extended a deal to the SVX Club for a 4 wheel alignment to the SVX for $75CAN(plus our 14.5% taxes) to our club. The SVX has the following adjustable components: Primary Angles: -Front Caster, right and left -Front Camber, right and left -Front Toe, right, left and total -Rear Camber, right and left -Rear Toe, right, left and total -Not adjustable - Rear Thrust Angle Secondary Angles: -SAI, right and left -Included Angle, right and left -Not Adjustable - Toe Out on Turns, right and left -Not adjustable - Maximum Turns, right and left -Not adjustable - Toe Curve Change, right and left - Setback, front and rear -Not adjustable - Track Width Diff. -Not adjustable - Wheel Base Diff. The Alignment Printout shows the Before, Spec, and After details. So if your near the border, and need it checked, give them a call. He does any car, but the $75CAN price is for the SVX, call for other cars. Just thought I would try to save some of the NorthWesterners some $$$.

Ya, its pretty cheap for you Yankees, but you'll need to drive to Canada. I think its about an hours worth of work.
If you make the trip, let me know, we can have a mini-meet.

Just had the blue 94 done ($250 US) but the rest of the herd should be done sooner or later. Thanks for the info Chris. Mine was that much because they had trouble getting some of the nuts broke loose. Regular price for the SVX is $79.95.

I'll keep that in mind next time I'm up north.
My car got several compliments last time I was in Vancouver. Rather flattering, even if half the people were drunk. As I was going to my car a couple of guys outside a bar said "Careful, that car has an alarm." Yeah, I know, and I'm not thrilled you tested it. After they figured out that it was my car they were impressed with the windows, wouldn't believe the windows were stock or that the car was a Subaru and that it wasn't new.
