Got a new windshield installed. Bye bye to my original 25 year old pitted mess. Hello to an imported from Japan brand new subaru windshield. It looks awesome. Safelite did a great job on the install. Had to order the windshield through a dealer and wait 2 months for it. The guy that installed it is a subaru enthusiast that owns an STI. She was in good hands!

Replaced lateral link and sway-bar bushing. Yea, no more clunking.

Yesterday I fixed my electric aerial. Used the mast from a universal replacement mast but had to use the top thinnest bit from my old mast with the smooth cord. To do this i had to remove the brass ferule from the bottom widest bits.
I also had to cut down the length of 3 of the pieces of the new mast to get it to go all the way down. This involved getting the ferule out of the end, sliding the piece off then chopping, then doing the next one etc . Then slot one back on, replace it's ferule and stake it in the on to the next then the last.

Now it would have been easier to ship a new one from the US for $75 plus import duty and VAT but that wouldn't have been as much fun.

finally got around to program the nos fob i bought on ebay over a month ago.
Been DD the 97 SVX for the last week now.
had to fill gas up today again. about 25.7mpg avg last tank or about.
going to DD until i can get some good weather to replace my CRX timing belt, then will store the SVX again as CRX will go to summer DD.
2 weeks of rain is not good timing when trying to sell the S2000

Wow, that's some shiny paint right there, especially the roof, since black paint shows EVERY imperfection, nicely done!

The surface of my all black '97 snags a microfiber towel on the horizontal surfaces, so I'm thinking it needs a good claybar treatment, then polish and wax. Place has been referred from some folks at a local cars and coffee meet, looks to run about $300. But that will happen AFTER I get my lowering springs, drilled rotors, new pads, and s/s brake lines installed!

Thanks! The roof was repainted about a month ago, so this was the first time I was able to polish, and it turned out much better than I thought it would. Unfortunately, after it was painted it sat outside at the body shop for a couple days during some rain, so there were hard water spots present along with a few other scratches that did not budge until now.
