Engine won't start first time ever

Hi All,
Not sure where the best place is to post this need. I'm looking for advice on what to check first with a non starting motor on my 96. I have a mechanic friend to help but he doesn't know SVX's at all. My SVX has ALWAYS started even after long periods of storage etc. It cranks plenty fine, but no hint of interest in ingniting / firing up. Any recommendations on easy things to check first?

Check the Crank and cam sensors first Mid 90's Impreza or Legacy ones can be made to work)

The Fuel (this new gas can go bad in short time, not like fuel used to be)

Those are where I'd start

Re: Engine won't start first time ever

We were able to get into it today. It was the fuel pump. R&R and it's back. It fired up fine with start fluid through the intake so we went for power to the pump which was there, so it's swapped and back to running. Now to decide if I'm going to go through with the ground control/Koni coilover mod that I bought 10 years ago.

I would look at the new coil overs that are now out, no modifications and probably better riding as coil over struts are designed for shorter springs and better valving in them
