I have a Black 1996 Subaru SVX LSi with 27000 miles
Hi there,
Just wondering how much I could get for this car. it still has its original Bridgestone Potenza VR16 tires. Condition is pretty good, both interior and exterior. |

Your comment of "pretty good" would scare me off. Even a 27K Hyundai should look "almost new" or excellent. What specifically deters this car from an excellent rating? Ron.

My car has dings and dangs on the car and I call that pretty good. So, I assume your pretty good and my pretty good has to be different. Perhaps, if you post a picture and perhaps the last 10 digits of your VIN (I don't need the whole thing), I can perhaps tell you the price.
Since you said pretty good instead of excellent, I want to see the report on any misuses (no offense)... Lwin

Sorry for being a little vague. I guess its in excellent
condition then. There were 3 dings on the right door that I had just had paintless dent repair, so it looks good now. There were some light keyed scratches on one door. Other than those exterior. I am the third owner. Bought it at 26k from my boss 2 months ago. He had it for 3 years and hardly used it. He bought it second hand at 14k in 1998. The car was initially registered in 1997. So, other than those scratches, I guess the car is in excellent condition. Is it safe to post the VIN number? |

96 with that milage and condition, you should be able to get at least 12k on that baby, if not more. Perhaps around 16-18 even. It's a shame you wanted to sell it. With that condition, I'd be a nice to own for a while. It's a nice car.
Yes, It's safe to post the VIN. I asked for the last 10 digits casue I can figure out the first digits of the SVX's VIN. It pretty much tell me the make and model of the car and the serial number. That's about it. Helps me run a carfax report easier. Lwin hope this helps

A sad, sad story.
Drive the car for a while, you'll never want to get rid of it. |

I have to agree with eddy on this one. I bought my '95 new - in '97 - for 20G (8G off sticker).
Find the 'right' person, you might make a profit. You'd probably make a profit off of any one of us - since we know what the car is really worth, but it isn't likely - since we know what they actually go for. Keep it. You won't regret it. Besides that, once Autofest is over this year, everybody's gonna be lookin' for 'em! Anyway, stay right here until you get shed of it. You're an owner - even if it is one of those temporary anomalies we sometimes find ourselves in. Best of luck! Steve

If I were buying from you, I'd try to negotiate something in the $14K range. I paid 11.5 for my 95 L, with only one ding, so I'd go a couple of thousand more for the lower mileage and LSi package. Try checking the NADA blue book value, though, to get a better estimate. As others have suggested, it's not a car just everyone is going to buy.
