Anyone fitted one of these? Love the stock look to it. Suggestions for better.

.... I really like the basic appearance and I've heard good things on the eclipse name. Debating the need/desire for a small amp. I certainly don't want a boom boom sub or anything… maybe one of those cute powered baby ones under the seat would be decent. I got Polk components for the front; on further research they don't even MAKE 6x9 components?! Anyone put a 8" round in the back before? .

I've not tried 8" rounds in the back, but one important consideration for rear speakers is clearance on the top/front part. I forget which brand/model 6"x9"s I put in the rear, I did a bunch of research and thought I'd gotten a great set for the money. But they some secondary speaker/tweeker type thing in the center which protruded up slightly, which made the job of sliding the back deck/shelf on really hard. In the end I got the back shelf on, they sounded fine once installed, but I'd dread taking the back shelf off again since it might damage the center bit.
Make sure you rear speakers are flush and don't have anything sticking out/raising up in the center (or any where really) over the stock speakers. Cheers, Ian.

Polk does make 6x9 component speakers, I installed some in my SVX a couple years ago, fit well and they make decent bass.
I see some on Amazon now...?

You are correct, Polk does not sell component 6x9 speakers. I believe mine were the coaxial ones.
