Where to mount MP3 player?
I just hooked up my MP3 player (iRiver H10) to my CD player.
The way it is now, I just take the ashtray out and pull the cable out, but I don't really like having a big hole in my dash. Now my question is where should I run the cable and mount the player? I was going to drill a hole in the ashtray and run it through that, and then the player could just sit in there. So for anyone else who hooked up an MP3 player, any suggestions? Thanks. |

Wow... I'm doing the same EXACT Thing...
I have the same head unit except i'm using a creative nomad... I've actually been letting mine rest under the E-brake but I was waiting until someone else did it

OK, what did you guys do with the cable though? I know some CD players have an aux input right on the front so you wouldn't need to do anything.

run the cable out the back of radio slot then loop under carpet till reaching the destonation of the player. also to mount there is the kind of a flat piece behind the ebrake. velcro the thing at a good angle. or velcro on ethier side of the armrest. i did this with my ps2 remote. it will sit in the ebrake slot looking like this from the side () // /^^^^^^.... the middle two lines is the remote the circle is the ebake and the /^ is the armrest. . velcro is the way to go for easy removal. u could also run the wire under the ash tray and the shifting plate to the back of the shifting plate drill small hole for wire.
