1996 SVX rear wheel bearins
Greetings,
Could anyone recommend a good replacement brand for my SVX and a mechanic in the Denver area? I have received quotes from $300 - 400, not including parts. Is it also a good idea to replace the axle nut as well as the 2 seals for each side? Since the car has spent most of its life in Phoenix, rust is not an issue as this is what has a few mechanics concerned. I am familiar with the bulletin as to remove the grease the bearing are shipped in and pack them in a high temp grease. Also, i am looking for the complete antenna assembly. I have seen new ones go for about $180. Thank you |

To the best of my knowledge the OEM bearings are now shipped with the proper grease. They are common to the WRX.

Also, the Timken bearings are shipped with the proper grease as well.
