92's may have hex heads....the caps on my fuel rails, 94's and 96's, have all been regular philips head screws like on your skyline fuel rail. I wouldn't try to loosen them with a regular screw driver after 13 years of being where they are. An impact driver loosens them very easily without any damage to the screw....it's a function of having the force of the blow applied both down and twisting at the same time.

The plastic retainers for the electrical connectors have to be changed but there is no need to cut the wires. Just pop the wires out and into the new plastic pieces. If you get your electrical connectors on ebay they will include wires; just pop the wires out and use just the plastic pieces.

instead of paying out the ass for new clips... why not grind down the lip on the injectors?? I mean it will still clip on an line up.

they aren't thaaat bad... if you are doing enough to need the larger injectors you can cough up for the clips...what's another $70...you're still in the $200s range for a complete set of injectors and a complete set of clips..that's awfully cheap

From what I understand it's hinging on how long it takes the CAT dealers to fix a marine engine.

I've made it back stateside. Now I'm going to have to catch up on some of the schoolwork I missed while stuck at sea. Then as soon as I can get back down to Miami I will finish my transmission build.

Are those the right ones? I am pretty sure that Mike said specifically NOT to get the ones for the VG's and to only get the ones for the SR20DET's

that part # isn't in my reference book so I can't comment on them. They obviously will fit but I can't give a thumbs up or down on them actually being 370cc at 36 psi or having the same latency or voltage effect on latency.

Remember my programming is a lot more accurate than just "370cc" we correct for latency and voltage.

But hey..they might work....

I think those z32 injectors have the wrong resistance, close but not quite there.

However, I think the mid 90's beige Q45 injectors are identical to the purpleish guys. Which may give us more sources, and you'll get everything you need in one set!

...in other news
LAN, does the 2v6 have n2o control, or is that a typo in the instructions? everywhere else said the secondary was e85. I guess it could be one in the same, but I'm too lazy to think it through.

I'll double check the instructions when i change them later this week for the release of 2v7. No, 2v6 has e85 software for the 2nd set of code. The memory adaptor still reads subaru adaptor +n2O control. We're almost out of memory adaptors anyway. I'll change the text on the next batch to read multi tune or no........I think I like the sound of "ECUtune Subaru Flex Adaptor"

As far as fuel injectors for 2v7 go....the only ones I have specs for that match are the SR20DET purple tops without the gold insignia. I would even suggest getting them cleaned and blueprinted so you know you have the right thing and you get new pintel caps and all that jaz.
