Gold or Silver BBSes?
Ok, so I have a set of silver 05-07 STi BBS wheels on my blue SVX. I like them a lot and I think I want to get another set for my black one. One thing I like about them is the almost stock look they have. The gold ones don't look as stock, but I think they might look great on a black (or blue!) SVX.
So the options are here. Hopefully I'll be able to get them in the next couple months or so. Any pics of black cars with STi BBS wheels in either color would be great .

Re: Gold or Silver BBSes?
I may swap the 18" Gold Prodrives from my 92 claret onto my 97 ebony. Think they would look good?

Re: Gold or Silver BBSes?
I had my silver ones powdercoated grey for my ebony.

Re: Gold or Silver BBSes?
Gold looks awesome on black and white cars, with blue almost as good.
That said I really like the rota formula mesh on my car. 17" though, Either the 05-07 BBS or Rota Grid gets my vote. |

Re: Gold or Silver BBSes?
I love gold. Once the body work is done I'll probably keep the BBS rims as track wheels and pick up a set of gold 18" Rota Grids for street wheels.

Re: Gold or Silver BBSes?
Nice, I like that a lot. I forgot about grey. Is that the same shade of grey that some of them came in? How much does it usually cost to powdercoat a set of wheels anyway?
The grey ones would probably look good on the blue car too. Thx for the pics crazy_pilot. That looks pretty nice.

Re: Gold or Silver BBSes?
The cost depends on where you take them.
Mine were just under $400 but they blasted them, fixed some curb rash and powdercoated them as well. Make sure they don't put it on too thick. It holds up a little better but you'll find yourself having to remove some coating from the lugnut seats.(steel inserts) I decided on that shade of grey. I don't know if they came in that color. I have seen some bronze ones.

Re: Gold or Silver BBSes?
I think you should keep the silver ones and give me the gold ones

Re: Gold or Silver BBSes?
Funny, I'm facing this same decision for my car. It seems I corded the tires that are on it now, somehow...
