W00d You Sell Your Anniversary Edition?
I am at a turning point in my life. Ive been making life changing decisions with no problem at all in the past few months but I cant seem to make a decision on this and I need some input.
Nuggit is gone but It paid for my move and some. Ive got 3 SVX left one I cant sell because its mechanically perfect and my dad drives it. So there are two left and ones got to go. 93 AE formally RSVX's car. mechinacally sound overall, some electircal bugs yet to work out, 168k miles or so,4.44 automatic, power steering leaks, fresh paint job cosmetically this car is near perfect. I estimate It needs about $200 in parts if I do the labor and its done. Ive got about 6k invested 92 L 02 wrx manual trans conversion, resealed engine, prw radiator, HIDS, tomyx intake, fresh black paint with blue pearl. 170k miles, needs a driveshaft, electircal work, calipers need rebuilt, needs exhaust from primary cats to muffler. Im guessing this car needs approx $650 to complete. ive got about $4000 invested. I know this sounds kinda lame but being indecisive about it all is eating my a$$ and I need to make a decision...like within a few days.

Re: W00d You Sell Your Anniversary Edition?
Sell the '92, if you can. I'd still be hanging on to my AE if she hadn't been sacrificed to an inattentive driver. Even high mileage, I think those are the ones to keep. Along with the '97s of course. I sure miss the Barcelona Red and the way she turned heads.

Re: W00d You Sell Your Anniversary Edition?
No contest.
Comparing a 5speed swapped car to any automatic, 4.44 swapped or not, is like deciding to keep Civic vs. a Corvette. Put the money in to get the 5speed back on the road, and enjoy having an SVX the way they were supposed to be made.

I'd sell the 5 speed and keep the nicer car. You can always drive a manual in your s60R (if you still have it).

Re: W00d You Sell Your Anniversary Edition?
Can I have dibs on the AE if you sell it?
Seriously, after I pick up the red 96 from itsjusteric, I just need to get a 93 to have one of every year. In all seriousness, Probably keep the AE. Mechanically sound and seemingly less issues to worry about. It also depends on what you're wanting the SVX for at this point. Your 92 sounds like it's very similar to Nuggit as far as mechanics and the parts you pulled off Nuggit before the sell. |
