Tracking & Wheel Bearing Info Please
Hiya guys,
Does anyone know the tracking figures front and rear for a JDM with 4 wheel steering? Front needs doing anyway as I'm having new tyres fitted all round and it's slightly out. I have the chance to have it all set up on a motorsport tracking, caster and camber laser set up so I want to make the most of it. Where is the best or only place to get rear wheel bearings and best brand? I am expecting to have to pay my local scooby dealer enough money for him to go on holiday as I have drown a blank so far with all my suppliers. Cheers Darren

Re: Tracking & Wheel Bearing Info Please
Not a lot of chat regarding wheel bearings. I've posted about my experiences so far, hoping to learn more of what's best. I bought NTN, found they have plastic cages for the actual bearings- not steel. I'm told that that's for noise reduction over steel but that steel may last longer (supposedly does with GM.) Bought NTN because I was advised that Japanese may be better than Chinese. I'm told that Timken bearings also have plastic cages. I'm not sure it is a problem, anyway. Sorry if I've merely muddied the waters for you.

Re: Tracking & Wheel Bearing Info Please
The plastic is only there basically for loading . The bearing race does not ride on the cage. All pressure is on the Bearing ( balls or needles ) if the bearing fails it is because the bearings stop rolling ( flat spots, rust ) this will eventually destroy steel or plastic retainer.
