Back-Up Lights

Anyone ever find a way to increase the light output of the lights that come one when the car is put into reverse? Perhaps different bulbs put out more light? Perhaps "after market" back-up lights are available?

As it is, the back-up lights provide nearly zero elumination, but I believe the small rear windshield contributes to the visibility problem. I'd like to tint that back windshield, but if I can't see out of it at night when backing up as it is, it's gonna be worse with tint. Although, if I can't see out of it right now when I back-up, tinting it shouldn't matter.
