FS: 2008 Subaru Forester Headunit - 6 CD Changer - Sat Radio - MP3/WMA

I'm selling the "holy grail" of double-din subaru stereos. This is from a 2008 forester premium, and is the only actual double din subaru unit that has satellite radio capability, and the ability to play MP3 CDs. It also has an aux input on the back. It's a perfect fit in the SVX. You don't even have to modify the radio cage.

The mounting screws and both harnesses are included.

I'm asking $100/OBO -- NEW PRICE $75

How does the Sirius antenna connect into this? Is there a plug on the back of the radio for the standard Sirius antenna, or is something else required?

Same for the AUX jack is it the standard headphone thing, or something else?

You need a Subaru sirius or xm kit for the sat to work. The aux input is a plug on the back that connects to a special subaru wire with a standard jack on the end. I have the pinouts for that though so you could just splice a normal headphone cable into it. That's what I planned to do.

Your best bet would be to track one down through a salvage yard, or on ebay. The brand new ones are absolutely ridiculous in price.

It'll hold six discs inside it. I snagged a similar one for my Forester when the stock single disc unit crapped out. It's pretty sweet - no trunk/underseat/glovebox mounted cartridge slinger required!

The one I picked up doesn't have satellite radio, nor does it play MP3s.

Can you post a pic of how it looks on the svx? I need to know if it takes up the whole area where it is installed.

It's a double DIN unit. Not sure what else you mean by "takes up the whole area"

It takes up the full area just like the stock stereo/cd player. It's a perfect fit. I had it in my car for a few months, but I don't think I took any pics of it in there.

I bought my SVX with an aftermarket stereo installed. So I don't know how the stock one looks like. I have a (shelf) below my stereo. Will this spot be used?
