Have you figured out why it came off? Did something fail or was it just not secured properly? I feel for you man. It really sucks.

yeah it does , only very minor damage was done to the ute ,brake a tail light and put a little dint under the light and bent the rear bumper bar a little , which im quite glad seeing as its my fathers ute and hes in bali for a week at the moment .

the svx is substantially damaged and the "hire" trailer is basically wrecked

the tow hitch snapped off the trailer and was still attached to the tow ball on the back of the ute

sean i have no idea why it fell off , i count adjust the weight any better then it was it was all the way forward and only and inch or 2 away from the back , im glad i didnt put it on the other way around cos i think alot more damage would have happened that way ...
it was secured pretty well af far as i know , u used a rached strap on the front and tied it down pretty damn tight at the back with rope

going down the hill befre this happened it started to wobble/whip and i tried to slow down to stop the wobbling and it got worse so i tried to speed up and it got worse again then it violently slid out to the right and then again further to the left where the trailers tires went into a ditch and pulled the ute off the road with in and the svx came off the trailer while it was sliding sidways

most of the damage to the svx happened when it came off the trailer and hit the side of the ditch sideways
hopefully its not going to be too much mechanical damage to it , but so far it doesnt look too good ,

i will find out more today

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Really sad to see a sister of my car in such a bad way.

That's a heap of damage there. Are you sure it's viable to repair?

Hey, tough luck.
My Pearlie has been relegated to parts car, so I can probably help you out with those damaged panels, no bumper though.

I'd totally run out of time to get my pearlie finished, so was thinking of parking the project for a few years... but they're obviously on the critically endangered list here in Aus, so I'd better refocus my conservation efforts.

Can you PM me with a list of what you've got?
