Front CV Axles

I am looking for two front axles that are not aftermarket. They can be worn out. I will get them rebuilt.

Re: Front CV Axles

Personally, I would recommend http://www.raxles.com/

Have used them, along with many members here. Never had a problem or failure on my SVXs, and they come with a lifetime warranty.

Re: Front CV Axles

Thanks, I know the owner of Raxles personally, his shop is 30 minutes away from me. He does not rebuild china axles that are on my car and he has no SVX axles in stock. Thats why I need to buy a core thats from Subaru.

Re: Front CV Axles

Depending on what your definition of "worn" is, I should have a couple. And Nate will probably be driving right through or past Gainesville in the next few days, perhaps he could drop them off on the way? I'll ask him later.

Looks like we need to get raxles a supply of SVX axle cores to have on hand. That's what we did with Maniac Motors and the dead alternators. That story can be found HERE

Benefits all of us to be able to get parts when we need them and return the old cores afterward.

Since raxles used to have a core charge and free return shipping, I wonder what happened to the old axles once the new ones were installed? Most are probably buying them from Advance Auto, AutoZone, etc. and returning core to them. Not good.

Hope Marty is doing well after his plane accident about 6 months ago. He would really appreciate how the SVX will give up its life to save yours..

Marty is fine now and back to work. It would be nice to get him some axles.

Just called Marty today and he informed me he had no parts for the SVX at all to build with. So if the discount parts store China axels are bad and new OEM are expensive and becoming hard to come by, what is our other alternative? I'm in need of rear and possibly a front axel after discovering a torn boot and very little grease.

Re: Front CV Axles

I spoke to marty as well, I thought it was lack of cores that was the problem but no its no place to source the actual joint.
