Help me out everyone (possible SVX)

I foung a burgundy 92 LSL with 89,000 miles for sale. It has the original transmission (EEK!) and there are a few problems with it. It needs new brakes too; needs new rotors and pads.

1. The passenger headlight is broken. How much do these cost to replace? I saw a picture of an SVX with 'crystal clear' type headlights; anybody know where to even buy those??

2. The power window switch on the drivers door (that controls all the windows) is dead. How much do these run?

3. The power antenna is dead. How much are these?

I can replace all this stuff myself, just wondering about parts cost. And if its in pretty nice shape, I'm going to take it to a mechanic and have him go over the car to find anything wrong with it, what it needs, if the tranny will blow up or not etc.

Anyway, how much should I give her for this car if all is well (besides the aformentioned broken parts and brake job)???

What would you give her?

The quickest way to find out the cost of the parts (as well as part numbers) is by going to subaruparts.com and looking through their diagrams of SVX parts.

89k isn't really scary for an original tranny. I bought mine at 95k and never looked back. It ran until 132k, almost three years later.

It's all in how they're taken care of and how they're driven.

DAMN. 300 bucks for one headlight? >whistle< 150 for a power antenna? I think I could do better on the antenna thing, and maybe I could make 'crystal clear headlights' like whatsisname on the mod forum.

find out why the power antenna isnt working, it may be disconnected behind the radio, or you just may need the mast replacement kit wich is less that $20.00... you were too specific as to how it wasnt working.... or if it was even 'trying' to work!!

Why don't you look for used parts instead. Try car-parts.com. You can do a search by make/model. You might find some of the stuff you need there.
