Welcome to the SVX Family. Sometimes we are as dysfunctional as the tranny and rear wheel brgs. I bought my '92 pearlie at Welsh Subaru in Limerick, PA. Where is High Bridge NJ ? Is it around Princeton?

'Belle came from Welsh Subaru as well. Yours must the one that he was talking about when we bought ours. He said that the lady that owned it took wonderful care of it and that it was like brand new.

Come to think of it, John (the salesman), also mentioned Larry buying his pearlie and the 10th anniversary meet(which I had forgotten about).

I know what you mean about the mileage....I'm looking for a second car as a beater for winter (an icy back road & a tree claimed my 92 SVX....may she rest in peace)

High Bridge is in Hunterdon County just off Interstate 78 north of Clinton. It's about 1 hour north west of Princeton.

Yes, this is the car John spoke to you about. It had been "sold" to a younger fellow when I called, but he had some issues getting insurance and they finally lost patience and let me have it.

It is in almost new condition. It has two minor door dings and one on the roof. The hood has what I guess is typical for this car paint chips from road rocks.

They had replaced the clutch plates in the tranny since they thought that it was binding a little. I also negotiated a 60k service to be included so the car got a good going over.

I also had my mechanic check it out and he thought that it was "perfect". I did see Tallulahbelle in the lot and I am glad that it found a good home.

John "the sales guy" told me that he was involved in the initial release of the car and the whole dealership seems to focus on getting and selling the SVX. There were three of them (a Pearlie, Laguna and my Ebony).

It is nice to be a part of such a great support group.

I am getting (as Lwin dubbed it) my Pearlies' "Evil Twin." Why evil? Because it ain't stock -- drilled rotors, KC catback and Konis.

As is referenced by the word "Twin," it's Pearl/Black (DUH!).

Suby Reman Trans Installed in Feb.
Both rear bearings done recently (Including new housings -- done by Frank Bartl's mechanic who also did almost all service to this car)
New Radiator recently fitted
Used (but in good condition) seat leather comes with (the driver's side seat is showing wear, as well as the steering wheel).
Two New, two "almost new" Perellis on the stock wheels.
and, as I said, Koni's all the way 'round and a KC Catback setup.

Has some cosmetic difficulties, but, for the price, I couldn't let it slide. I'll be driving it from "Da City" back to KY on Saturday/Sunday. WOOHOO!!!

How long before you can swap out those Koni's and KC exhaust to replace them with stock components?

Sorry, I'm going to keep the modifications intact. I figure, since I will be buying the car that way, I can still say, "I have never modified an SVX."

Since you're getting stock wheels, it will seem like a stocker until you light it up. I like the Pirellis, people say they get noisy. You will have a great chance to evaluate two of the best mods going. IMO. (Konis & KC) Without the taint of modding.

Oh yeah, I vaguely remember them -- I think I read about them in media history class, or something.

Maybe I'll change "Patience's" name to Heckle and name the new one Jeckle.
