Re: New Product: upper rear visor/spoiler

5 or 7 looks good. blending with the roof line would be the hardest i think ..
but something like 5 would be slick on it. still 50/50 on it also.

This 7 option also goes with the side profile of the trunk line. I think this one may look the best if done right.

I also think 2 or 6 look like they would 'fit' the look of the svx if done right.

I would buy one if it looks right.

Re: New Product: upper rear visor/spoiler

Maybe I'm missing something, but what purpose do these serve? The only thing I can see is that at high speeds they will remove some airflow from the main spoiler.

Re: New Product: upper rear visor/spoiler

I'd like to see something like this car's high-wing spoiler on an SVX...

perhaps toned down in width and thickness just a tad, and profiled to keep a uniform distance from the rear glass, so possibly a bit more rounded when viewed from the top, and just far enough away from the glass that the upper tip of the rear wiper clears under the high wing.

Also the sides, were it wraps down, and meets the glass, should blend directly into the curvature of the upper rear quarter glass.

I would also consider mounting a wide LED CHMSL in the high wing... and then blanking it out of the trunk lid with a little bit of a duck-tail anti-drag spoiler lip grafted onto the trailing edge of the trunk lid. Nothing too much, just to create some air vortices behind the tail light panel, to lessen the negative air-pressure behind the car, and reduce drag just a bit more.

Re: New Product: upper rear visor/spoiler

honestly, they are all going to look horrible.

To do it right it will need to follow the corner of the rear window. considering the hard angles at the corners any attempt to follow the corner will look like crap... Just my opinion

You sure do catch a lot of flack around here. I've never purchased any of your goods, nor is this particular piece my cup of tea, but kudos to you for doing it. I have your site bookmarked, and one of these days I'll be working on cosmetics once the mechanics are all sorted out. Keep up the good work, and I'll be watching for that item that screams "Bandit must have this!"

Edit: Honestly it'll be your seat covers. But like I said; mechanical first, then cosmetic.

Re: New Product: upper rear visor/spoiler

no flack here. But my point was, it is sticking to a black window. A paint matched piece will be surrounded by uneven black lines due to it not following the lines of the window or moulding.

I buy Dayle's products here and again. I am glad he does it.
