Liberty/Legacy Driving Lights
Hi all.
My cousin has a 1996 Liberty (Legacy) 2.5 wagon that has LOVELY projector style driving lights in the front spoiler. I think they may look good on SVX but would require cutting holes in the air dam. Anyone done this? Mike

Re: Liberty/Legacy Driving Lights
This should illustrate my question:
These, in theory, should look good on SVX. Opinions?

Re: Liberty/Legacy Driving Lights
I don't think they'd look that great especially since you'd have to hack up the bumper to fit them (not to mention that those are JDM which means they won't point the correct direction for those of us who drive on the right).

Also remember, he's from down under so they would have the correct light pattern for him |

Re: Liberty/Legacy Driving Lights
Fogs and cornering lights, which those are, aren't cut-off. So pattern doesn't matter to left or right. They are flat-beam all the way across. Only the low beams have a directional cut-off, really.
If there were a way to seamlessly weld plastic, I could see cutting that section out of each side of a legacy scrap bumper, and mounting those on each side of a donor SVX bumper, in the corners beside the center low intake. But that is some seriously custom plastic work, for fog-lights and cornering lights, when the SVX already has a segment of the headlights for that... or that could be converted to that, if it doesn't have them...

Re: Liberty/Legacy Driving Lights
I think the best option would be to do a combination of that along with some fiberglass work to smooth everything out.
