Eric,

You have just fifteen days to:

Finish the lip
Give it four coats of Polo Green pearl (Glasurit or Sikkens preferred)
Wet sand
Give it four coats of clearcoat
Wet sand
Buff
Buff some more

and make time to install it on my car at Reading

You can name your price after you install it

.

for you john...itll cost free unlimited lifetime detailings on whatever car I happen to want detaileld, forever, plus material costs

as of right about...now... the mold is nearly complete....I need to adress some issues with where it meets the car at the sides...theres a certian body line under the car that is nearly impossible to describe that Ill be working off of to make sure the lip doesnt look akward from any angle you happen to view it from. theese bits are proving to be tricky, but expect to see a FINISHED product at or before Reading

Edit: Found a methof to do this, work is resuming. I have taken quite a few pictures on toms camera...but I dont know how to get them from there to here...Looks like I have something to keep me occupied while the resin hardens

you can see, I need to do a little something to the sides. So, a little fiberglass here and there, and I have a perfect mold of the impossible body lines that I can work off of:

Here's where Im at now. Mold in progress....SHOULD have a finished product and concequently a group buy soon

Yay!

Ballpark price range for those of us who CARE what it costs?

Some of us don't have unlimited funds...

Looking into the costs to buy some good fiberglass and resins in bulk, and determining just how much material and time theese are going to take to figure out final costs.

That's pretty close to what I was imagining, and it looks nice so far. a (comparitively) cheaper choice for a different front-end look, instead of jumping into a whole new front bumper (i.e. KStaff, etc.)

Good job, keep it up

Excellent, thanks for the update!

I'll have to have it shipped to Florida, so that's going to kill me as it is.

But this looks really nice! Put me on the very interested list. You thinking about offering them already painted, or no?

Nope...No pre-painted parts. Id rather have them actually match your car than milk some more money for myself

The part will come gel coated, just a cleaning and wet sanding away from paint, so the bodyshop bill should be nice and low

It's looking pretty sweet. Can't wait to see it installed... According to the calendar, you now have 9 days to get it on John's car. Better get a move on!

Well, waiting on supplies to make a master mold, so to speak. the plug is done, and after much, much time figuring out how I can actually remove the finished part from the mold, I came across a solution. Thank you Hocrest for some outside input

I likely wont have a finalized product with all the kinks worked out before Reading, but I will most likely have a prototype, of sorts...Just so any onlookers can see what exactly Im doing, and how it will look

What, did Dave suggest the use of the green flower pot material for a mold?
So, how would the lip "blend" into Battlescar's flared fenders?

OK, one more question Eric

PLEASE don't flame me guys, but I'm curious to know... Would you ever consider offering this in carbon/carbon covered?

Reason I ask is I want Dayle's wing... Don't want to deal with paint and such, and I really like the look. But I think a matching lip would really help to round the car out - one carbon part looks silly, but 2 or 3 starts a theme...
