I second Jerry's opinion.

Though we all know a stock SVX will beat him - those old people drive slow. That's really why YT always wins.

(Just kidding Jerry. )

You should hit the dyno with your car sometime.

I agree.
I am REALLY looking forward to running the 1/4th this year.
Last year when I ran a 14.5 at 96 it was a hot day,
(no hotter for me than anyone else there)
The A/F ratios were pegging the wideband rich
and I could not get over 6 PSI for a variety of reasons, NONE of them the fault of the supercharger!
THIS YEAR, we will be faster!

As will everyone else!

Its all good!

Bobby already dynoed my car at ESP, and turned 175whp at 6,042 rpm with two bad cylinders

Thats alot of WHP for NA.

What are your compression pressures?

I believe Porchekiller's car has a "built" engine with LAN's pistons and cams in it (YT did the work), but I could be wrong (it might only have LAN's cams in it).
That's still a lot of WHp if only 4 cylinders were firing....

I just saw another post where he has 182-188 PSI on four cylinders, and 142 and 155 on the other two.

What do you think the figures would be if the compression were corect on all cylinders... maybe 180-190 whp?

That would still be on the level of tom's old 94 ebony that dynoed at 191 whp

I just did a quick math problem based on my slight knowledge of how engines work.

And if he was getting 175whp on 4 cylinders. I figured it was 43whp per cylinder(4). Multiply that by 6 and it came to about 262whp.

That's probably not right or even close, but if it was. That's pretty good for a NA EG33

Crazy sonnn... </end of urban slang>

I did the math and it should be at around 189whp if i did it correctly.

Figure there are 6 cylinders (duh) and 4 are working to their full ability while the last 2 are roughly at 75% and 82% of working ability (142 psi /188 psi =.755 and 155/188 = .82).

Using 4x + .75x + ..82x =175
4x + 1.57x = 175
we get x = 31.4 whp per cylinder times 6 = 188.5 whp.

I'm probably wrong with what i'm saying, but probably closer than Bill

Your Claret is fast Tom, on paper... Lets see if you can get through a race without eating belts and running N/A!

Just kidding, I have nothing but the vastest respect for the folks here that make the impossible possible, and developing new ways to get speeding tickets at every opportunity. Only thing is, there's no such thing as fast enough, so it'll never stop. Going auto to manual, my car felt much faster, but now it's feeling sluggish again. If i strapped FI onto it, it would feel balls to the wall fast, for a while, then I'd want to go faster.

There is a fix though. Drive a metro daily, and drive the SVX on the weekend. it'll be such a vast difference, you'll feel like your in a Maserati doing 185 every time you look at your SVX.

Damn you and your fancy math! Haha jk Tim.

That sounds alot better. Though when I was talking to Tom before porschekiller picked it up, he said he thought it was faster than his Ebony.
