I did not even think of that. Maybe the spacers are doing more than we think.

The little bit of coolant in the engine was boiling like no other... Thats why it read real hot.

Not what I'm getting at though tom. Focus is the cool manifold, which was the first thing that OT hit with the IR which was confusing as the coolant was still up there. Makes sense now.

understandable. but like I said, I do not see this being a real gain in my eyes. i know OT is a fond supporter and he is for his beliefs but in my world, My engine that was painted black and was supposed to hold more heat than any other was the one that dynoed 191awhp.

In respect of the discussion regarding spacers, was/is the manifold coolant circuit operating or closed off?

I got to thinking years ago... "Radiators are painted black... there must be a reason".
So I started painting the engines black and noticed a slight resistance to detonation and them running slightly cooler.
One of the "performance secrets" I usually keep to myself unless asked.

That is the inje".tors and MAF. As far as spacers go. I have a set between my heads and my intakes stacks as well as one between the manifold and blower. Do they help at all??? Maybe, maybe not, but with us not being able to run any sort of after/intercooler set up I am willing to do any little thing that has a chance of helping.

I wouldn't have guessed that, but it makes sense.
So add to that list...

I don't get you at all... We are all here to help other svx owners with their cars and you continually insert stupid, perverted remarks.

On turbo engines I have ceramic coated the inside and outside of the headers, heat coated tops of pistons and combustion chambers, and anti friction coated piston skirts. Guy I knew did it as a sideline and did it for me at cost.
Seemed to work well... for the month or so the car was together.
It deadhooked and twisted the chassis, and i parted it out.
Ohhhhhhhh the fun of being young, stupid and impulsive.
Its much nicer to be older, stupid, and impulsive
