|
Loud trans thunk, broken trans mount?
On the way back from the pumpkincarve I started noticing a thunk from the center console. Mike621(was with me) said it could be a broken trans mount. It happens when I accelerate and right after I let off the gas. Is there any aftermarket replacements? He said something about YT had made stiffer mounts. Any help would be great

That sounds like the culprit. When mine went bad you could also hear the thunking when shifting into reverse.

Then when I let off of the gas at the same speed, it makes the same clunk but with a reverse motion. Moving back to front.

Well, since you ruled out any driveline problems, I would say its probably a mount gone bad.
